New Jaguar 36“Angelis” – sounds Italian?  Because it is Italian. It means Angel from heaven. And if ever there was one, this is her. Beautiful in design. Heavenly in her accommodations, superb in the execution of her skills, ‘sailing on the wings of Angels’ is her motto. A truly magnificent vessel, the Jaguar 36 “Angelis’ has proved herself to be more robust, more extraordinary, and more adept at negotiating huge waves all the while maintaining her focus. Attaining speeds of 17.5 knots while on the surf, she held her course and rose up from the downward plummet, pulling her bows up like a rearing race horse and continuing on her journey as if nothing happened. Her design, her clean, sharp lines holding her in good stead, and with her impeccable stance, she races across the ocean in a manner so distinct, so succinct that only those who have sailed a Jaguar can acknowledge her impressive sailing qualities. She knows her capabilities.  She is content.

There is no ‘if and a but’ with the Jaguar 36.  She is proven. She is the best. Having crossed the Atlantic over 200 times, there is no question. No other cat in her class compares with her outstanding performance and no other cat compares with her price.

‘Angelis’ will be featured at the Durban International Boat Show 17 -19 July 2009 and her proud owners will be aboard to chat to clients and answer questions along with Kim & Eric, the builders. Her crew who sailed her on the delivery from Cape Town will also be aboard. Their recanting of the voyage will no doubt be of interest to those who are thinking of buying. A true heavy-weather cruiser, which is capable of handling any weather conditions throughout the world safely and in comfort! That’s the Jaguar!
Skippers Review
This is what the Skipper Gareth has to say about the Jaguar on the delivery passage from Cape Town to Durban for the Durban International Boat Show:
"With 37 knots of wind up the bum, the Jaguar 36 wasn't fazed. She rode the waves and kept her heading with only a meter of Genoa out. Later when a weak North Easterly came through we were sailing at 40 degrees to the wind doing 7 knots.  Now that's sailing!"
